APOLLO 18 is a Underrated Gem

Apollo 18 came out during the height of the found footage explosion after Paranormal Activity went gangbusters. In fact, I think its likely it was pushed into production specifically because PA did so well. At the time it got hit with some really grim reviews, but is it actually that bad?

Is THE SHINING a Bad Movie?

Okay, hear me out; The Shining fails as an adaptation for all the reasons we all know by this point, but does it fail as a horror movie in its own right? Well, I believe it does, according to my own subjective criteria on what a horror film needs to be.

YouTube has a movie criticism problem; too often films are judged on arbitrary binary attributes and there is no nuance. Well, today I am going to argue the merits of 2018’s Slender Man. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying it is a ‘good movie’, but rather that it is a lot smarter than you might think and most importantly – it’s not all bad. Or, ‘bad’.
